Welcome to GSM Entrepreneur.
If you've ever felt completely overwhelmed by all the courses, tools, websites, social media platforms, and promises about making money online, I understand.
I've been there too.
I'm not a marketing guru, and I didn't start out as an online entrepreneur.
My working life was very different.
My Story
For more than 35 years, I worked as a baker, making cakes and baked goods for people in my community.
I also spent 14 years working in real estate, helping people find homes and make some of the biggest decisions of their lives.
Then, in 2014, my daughter and I decided to take a chance and open our own small cake shop.
It was something we had dreamed about, and for a while it was wonderful.
We loved our customers, we loved creating our cakes, and we loved having something that belonged to us.
Then COVID happened.
Like many small businesses, we were hit hard. Eventually, we couldn't afford the shop's rent anymore, so we had to move the business back home.
It wasn't what we had planned.
But it taught me something I'll never forget:
Sometimes you have to adapt when life doesn't go according to plan.
How I Found Online Business
In 2019, I started looking seriously at online business and affiliate marketing.
At first, I was completely overwhelmed.
There were so many courses.
So many tools.
So many different strategies.
And, of course, plenty of people promising that I could make money quickly if I just bought the right product or followed the right system.
I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect method.
Eventually, I realised something much simpler:
There probably isn't a perfect method.
There is only learning the fundamentals, taking action, making mistakes, learning from them, and continuing.
That's when GSM Entrepreneur started to take shape.
Why I Created GSM Entrepreneur
I created this website for people who are where I was when I started — curious about online business but unsure where to begin.
Here you'll find articles about:

- Getting traffic
- Beginner-friendly ways to build an online income
I try to explain things in a way that makes sense to someone who isn't technical.
And I don't want GSM Entrepreneur to be another website making unrealistic promises.
I'm still learning myself.
Some things I've tried have worked.
Some haven't.
I've made mistakes.
I've changed direction.
I've had moments when I wondered whether I was ever going to figure all of this out.
But I keep learning.
And when I learn something that I think could help another beginner, I share it here.
What You'll Get From Me
I'm not going to promise you overnight success.
I'm not going to tell you that making money online is easy.
And I'm not going to pretend that I've already achieved everything I'm working toward.
Instead, I'll share what I'm learning and what I'm actually doing.
When I recommend a tool, product or training, I'll try to explain why I think it may be useful, rather than simply telling you to buy it.

What I'm Building
I'm still building my online business.
I'm still learning about affiliate marketing.
I'm still learning about email marketing, SEO, traffic and all the other pieces that go into running a website.
And that's okay.
You don't have to be an expert before you start.
You just need to be willing to learn.
That's the message I hope to share with other beginners through GSM Entrepreneur.
My goal isn't to become an overnight success. My goal is to build a sustainable online business that creates long-term income while helping beginners learn how to build one of their own.
